Here’s a snapshot of my work in progress for a new(ish) project I’ve been working on for the first ever Veggie Pride Parade to be held in Chicago. Promotional materials include posters to be hung up around the city and post-card handouts. Pretty excited! Also: Yay veggies!

Finished version of art student owl illust, worked on while my building had a fire on the 7th floor. I was safe, it was quite a thing to observe though. Don’t set your apartment on fire, kids!
Improvised wrapping paper on an art student’s budget: cut-up brown paper bag + prismacolored pencil magic = original and zero-cost gift presentation. Oh how being penniless fuels the creative mind…

This is a collab between 102 and A2crew. Jeremy created the illustration based on the idea that stickers and wheatpasting are in the legal gray area. In Spain the brain is also referred to as “gray mass”, because our brain is supposedly gray. A2crew screen printed these black & white stickers, which are already around Chicago.
A series of concert posters for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Inspired by F* Yeah Art Student Owl, I felt like doing something to get back into my style. Working with marker lineart and Photoshop colors.
The Sketchbook Project 2012, before I sent it off to the Brooklyn Art Library to join the world tour. I made my entry a printed booklet of January sketches, 16 pages saddle-stitched (stapled). If you want to join the next round, check it out on the Art House Co-op’s website.

Mini-books. 4 new ones added to the family last night, including one with rounded corners and one with black pages. Hand-bound using a variation on Drum Leaf binding learned at a Columbia College Book and Paper Arts workshop last summer. Mini-books are blank inside and are 2.75”x2.25”.
Next step: to print my own art for the cover wrapper on future mini-books.
