Here’s a snapshot of my work in progress for a new(ish) project I’ve been working on for the first ever Veggie Pride Parade to be held in Chicago. Promotional materials include posters to be hung up around the city and post-card handouts. Pretty excited! Also: Yay veggies!

Best Valentine’s Day gift EVER.

Improvised wrapping paper on an art student’s budget: cut-up brown paper bag + prismacolored pencil magic = original and zero-cost gift presentation. Oh how being penniless fuels the creative mind…

This is a collab between 102 and A2crew. Jeremy created the illustration based on the idea that stickers and wheatpasting are in the legal gray area. In Spain the brain is also referred to as “gray mass”, because our brain is supposedly gray. A2crew screen printed these black & white stickers, which are already around Chicago.

A SNIFF OF THAT SWEET AND TANGY SMELL |CLASS - DRAWING THE GRAPHIC NOVEL PEN & INK
By  Chris Dazzo:
MADE THIS COMIC FOR CLASS ABOUT A TIME I GOT DRUNK AND STARTED WRESTLING MY FRIEND, AND ENDED UP WITH A BIG GASH ON MY HEAD. 4 STAPLES. WE HAD TO WRITE A STORY ABOUT A TIME WE DIDNT REMEMBER AND ABOUT 3/4 OF THE CLASS ENDED UP WITH SOME DRUNKEN STORY… MY STORY WAS KINDA RUSHED DUE TO LACK OF TIME, BUT I THINK IT TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD FOR ANOTHER DRUNK STORY, BUT I LET THE IMAGES DO THE TALKING AND WITH LITTLE TEXT AS POSSIBLE.  LAYING OUT 29 PANELS SUCKED!

MORE TO COME.

TWLOHA Subway Terminal Campaign- Type as Image Project

We were asked to design a campaign based around an issue that each individual student felt strongly about. I chose ‘To Write Love On Her Arms’ a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting  hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. They exist to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. It’s an amazing organization.

SID did a group campaign series to get people hyped for the latest skype chat series, this time featuring Kate Bingaman-burt. We thought, in reflection of the artist, we’d catch the attention of people by using receipts all over that had event info and doodles.
